JMJ Love Stories: Becky and Ciara's Happily Ever After

I don’t think you're ready for this one! We are delighted to be re-introducing Jack Murphy Jewellers ‘Love Story Series’ as we showcase the gorgeous wedding of Becky and Ciara. These gorgeous ladies shared their story with us back in 2021, and featured in our original JMJ Love Story Series; Becky spoke to us about how the couple met and how she found the perfect ring for Ciara with the help of our dedicated Diamond Specialists.

Since then, we have been following Becky and Ciara's journey as they planned their wedding and magical Disney Honeymoon.

So let's catch up with Becky, and talk all things weddings...

Firstly, we'll start by asking, when and where you got married?

“We got married on Saturday the 12th of August 2023, in the beautiful Seagrave Barns in Dunany, County Louth.”

Do you have any stand out moments from your special day?

“It's hard to pick just one moment. There's so many that I'll never forget!"

"Spending the morning getting ready with Ciara and our wedding party, especially when my best man helped me into my wedding dress, it was a moment I had waited for since I was a little girl.”

“Our first looks were definitely memorable, as Ciara literally took my breath away and I SOBBED!! If that wasn’t magical enough, I had my first look with my dad. I asked Ciara to be there with me too, to share the moment with us, as Ciara is like a third daughter to my parents.”

“Hearing Seán play each of our songs walking down the aisle.”

“Finally, our ceremony happening! We had the amazing Laura Fitz as our Celebrant, who coordinated a ceremony full of laughter and love, which many of our guests commented on how emotional and heart felt it was.”

“Speaking of our ceremony… one of our favourite moments was when our ring bearer, Oberon the alpaca, came through the doors! No-one expected it and I turned to watch everyone’s reactions, and it truly was the best reaction ever.”

“… and one last thing… our first dance. We love to dance together in the house, so we couldn't forget to mention this as one of our favourite moments of the day.”

Any advice you would like to share with newly engaged couples?

“Breathe, enjoy the process, research your vendors and don’t just go with who people recommend, as you could be missing out on someone better suited, do what YOU BOTH want. Ignore what others say you should do, but on that note, screw traditions and get ready together. It made our morning go slower and it meant we had more memories together!!"
